The Her Majesty the Queen Investigates series by SJ Bennett is a cozy mystery series in which Queen Elizabeth II solves crimes. There are five novels in the series, with a sixth novel due to be released this October.
I love the Her Majesty the Queen Investigates series, and it seems to be relatively unknown. It’s like a cross between an Agatha Christie novel and The Crown. For me, that’s about as perfect a combination as there is.
I’ve read all of the novels in the series and intend to read as many as SJ Bennett releases. I’ve listened to a couple of them on audio and really enjoyed the audiobooks as well. The audiobooks are narrated by Samantha Bond, and she does a great job.
The series is as follows:
- The Windsor Knot (currently available on Kindle Unlimited)
- All the Queen’s Men (also called A Three Dog Problem) (currently available on Kindle Unlimited)
- Murder Most Royal (currently available on Kindle Unlimited)
- A Death in Diamonds
- The Queen Who Came in From the Cold
The sixth book in the series, due to be released this October, is titled Death on the Royal Yacht.
Now that we’re in the “ber” months, its the perfect time to get cozy with a good mystery series!
