Fall is my favourite season, so it should come as no surprise that I love fall books. Every fall, I have a list of books I plan to read. These are my most anticipated fall book releases:
- The Witches of Cambridge by Alice Hoffman

I love Alice Hoffman books. The Practical Magic book series holds a special place in my heart (who else can’t wait for the movie sequel?!).
The Witches of Cambridge takes place in the 1950s in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It centers on two women who are recruited into a secret group of witches called the Lilith Society. Is there anything better than a witchy book in the fall?
Release date: September 8
2. The Haunted Librarian by Auralee Wallace

Auralee Wallace is the author of In the Company of Witches, When the Crow’s Away, and The Late-Night Witches. I read all three last fall and they’re light and cozy fall reads. I was excited to see that she has another fall novel coming out!
The Haunted Librarian is about a recently hired librarian who can see ghosts. She meets ghosts in her new library who cause problems that put the future of the library at risk. She sets out to help the ghosts and save the library.
Release date: October 6
3. The Thoroughbreds by Elin Hilderbrand and Shelby Cunningham

This is the sequel to The Academy, which was released last year. Full disclosure: I haven’t read The Academy yet, but having become an Elin Hilderbrand fan last winter, both novels in the series are high in my list to read this fall!
The series takes place at a New England boarding school, and deals with the ensuing drama surrounding the senior class.
Release date: September 15
4. A Time of Witches by Madeline Martin

Madeline Martin is a historical fiction author. One of her books is The Last Bookshop in London, which I’ve read and really enjoyed.
A Time of Witches is about a woman who travels from Savannah to a manor house in England, where she learns about her legacy and that if she can’t rewrite history, she will die. At the same time, the novel is about a woman living in 1645 Suffolk who has been accused of being a witch and who fights to protect her younger sister.
Release date: September 1
Are any of the above books on your fall TBR? Which fall releases are you most excited for?
